My favorite Valentine's Day memory is my first real date with my now boyfriend - and I didn't even think it was a date in the beginning! But by the end, it was sure a special date! A walk, dinner and a movie was never so exciting! This February 14th will be our six year anniversary together and I hope it will become my new favorite Valentine's Day memory.

  11. I am a follower of your blog. My favorite Valentines Day was when I was pregnant with my first child and my husband and I were living with my parents. We tried to go to Olive Garden but there was a 2 hour wait. We ended up getting our food to go and went back and ate and played Skipbo at my parents house.

My best memory is when my late husband was out of work and I knew that valentine's day would not be celebrated. I came home and he spent the day hauling gravel and made me a heart shaped parking pad.

  19. Last year my sweetheart and I went shopping and just spent the (relaxed) day together. That night, we got a hotel room and spent time away from home. We didn't dress up and go out really fancy, we went to a casual chain restaurant and enjoyed our time with each other. I hope we can do the same this year!

We Started making cookies around 8 pm and didn't get done delivering the cookies until 12:00 am. But THIS year will be my favorite V-Day, by far.

  56. I'm a follower. My favorite memory of valentine's day was my first date with my husband. He happened to have the day of work so, he asked me on a date. He showed up early to my house with a canation which happens to be my favorite flower. He had planned everything and I had no clue what we wre going to do. He drove us to the beach ad in his trunk he had a frisbee and a ball. We played frisbee and kick ball on the beach until it got dark. Then we sat on a rock and watch the tide come in and talked. We walked around until we were hungry and then we found a restaurant that was open. When he drove me home we didn't want to say good bye yet so he stayed and we watched movie. That date was the first of many and still counting.

  60. Sounds goofy but my husband showed up one year with 2doz. roses. 1. I thought it was overkill and 2. I couldn't believe he would have spent that much. Turns out he picked them up at our local Trader Joes and it was like 2doz/$14.99 on Valentine's Day which is just CRAZY! I was so happy with him. :)

  89. Ok now for my favorite Valentines memory. It goes back 10 years, to my first date with my husband. We met at my work, and started talking. He finally asked me out for dinner and a movie, we made it a date. Well (I didn't forget) he must not have realized it was valentines day that it was scheduled for. So we went to dinner, had a little bit of a wait, but it was nice to sit and talk. We went to the movie and then home. It was so nice, comfortable and absolutely perfect! I went to work the next day and told everyone he was the man I knew I was going to marry. Went home to find flowers on my doorstep, telling me thank you for dinner. It was so sweet. And 10 years later, we're still together, getting ready to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary in May.

  94. I am a follower. My favorite Valentine's Day memory is when my husband (then boyfriend), pulled out a jewelry box and saw the excited look on my face. There were earrings in the box, but he could tell I thought it was an engagement ring. He got all flustered and quickly said it was earrings so I wouldn't get too excited. It's a good memory because we were both embarrassed and laughed about it!

  96. One valentines morning when we were young and poor, my hubby put tiny yellow post it notes all over the house. Each one was a clue that led to the others. The treasure at the end was a booklet of post-its made out like coupons for things like a back rub, not having to make dinner, a night out by myself, a date night, etc. It was sweet because my husband is not that creative. I still have some of those coupons-should cash them in.He forgot an expiration date ; )

My most memorable V-day was when I bought my husband (then bf) a pair of pink "kissing fish" for his fish tank. I went over to his house & presented them to him only for him to point out that his fish tank was no longer up and had broken. We were in a hurry to leave for the beach for a dinner reservation (we're in Salem, OR) and so we stopped at a local pond and *plunk* dropped them in. ;) We like to think there's a huge population of kissing fish in there now, lol!
