If any of you dream of going to Paris....and you know you won't be whisked away anytime soon to the "world's most romantic city"... then stop dreaming and start creating!
I've borrowed these ideas and pictures from Becca. (I've used her and her hubby's ideas before...and I'm sure this won't be the last time). She's got one great husband...and she knows it. He planned this day in Paris for her.
They ate at a little cafe in Paris... overlooking the Eiffel Tower!

The cafe served French Fries (...of course, hehe)
and Croissants...

Sooo fun---and such a perfect example of how you can create a great themed date without spending a bundle!
Here are some other ideas for bringing Paris home!
- Place a printed flag of France near the door with a sign saying, "Welcome to France"
- To make this a more "authentic French" date, prepare a traditional French delicacy. Ideas & Recipes HERE.
- End the night with a little French Kiss! Ooh La la!

Such a cute idea! OH how I wish that my husband was the Romantic! For now... It's 'MOI' that plans for romance. This is a theme that you can do so much with! I wish that I had a MAC with photo booth.
This is so fun, it definitely doesn't compare to the REAL Paris, though. My husband and I went once together while we were dating, and I'd just LOVE to go now that we're married so we can stay the night there and experience the night life.
And, of course, in Paris, French Fries are actually called Frites. Technicality.
The Hot Pockets gave me a good laugh - so funny - and so typical of a husband!
yes..Chelsea. I agree. That's why I loved this whole thing... it's definately not the "real Paris" of course.. but that's what makes it so fun! :)
Oh, and Baroness---you could use Photoshop to do something similiar. Who needs a MAC anyway? (at least that's what us PC people say)
oh I think this is sooooooooo SWEET

I took this idea and turned it into a "Complete European Adventure Date Kit" and gave it to my single brother-in-law for his birthday. He ended up asking my husband and I to double with him and I can't tell you how glad I am that he did!
He went to pick up his date while my husband and I finished decorating our apartment as a cafe. Red checkered tablecloth, flowers, candlesticks and a sign that said "La Caffe` Peaden." We made a "fine Italian dinner" consisting of spaghetti, breadsticks, and salad. After dinner we went sightseeing and used a Balloon Architecture kit (purchased at Barnes and Noble for only $10) to make famous European landmarks out of balloons (you know, balloon animal balloons?). We topped of the date with some knock of cannolis (thanks to Rachel Rays Cannoli Fake Out recipe.) It was super inexpensive and a great date! I thought that I would share the idea!
I love your website and come here often to try to get ideas. Thank you.
