So, the baby has arrived. Your house is filled with this new little bundle...lots of tears, little sleep, and lots of new items that you're just figuring out how to use! One thing you probably haven't been thinking about is the one thing that hubby is missing most out of this whole "having a baby" experience...
So, when you get the okay to "resume all activities" as my friend, Chelsea, worded it...there ought to be some sort of mini celebration. (usually this falls around the 6 week checkup time). This is a big event for your hubby!
Here's what Chelsea did for her husband:
I made a card that said, “This is no ordinary house wife you’re dealing with” on the front and on the inside, I wrote a love note about what a “pleasure” it was to be married to him and put a condom inside! I have never seen him laugh so hard or blush so fast when he opened that card!
I thought it was a very simple and thoughtful idea that let's your husband know you're still thinking about him...even though that new little baby is the main focus! (and...for those of you that sit there with your jaws open, close em! This is a perfectly appropriate idea for continuing a healthy relationship after the baby comes!....just sayin'...)

I love it! I think it's a great idea :)
way cute i am going to use this.
I LOVE this idea and I'm definitely going to use it:-)
That is a great idea! My husband was counting the days on the calendar- lol. That's men for ya- at least after kids they are still chasing us around.
Not to be a downer, but you might want to keep in mind that sex may not be nice at first after having a baby! Since it didn't hurt on our honeymoon, I thought that it wouldn't after a baby either. I was wrong! I don't think we actually succeeded until our third try or so... And it wasn't because I wasn't willing!
Sorry if this is too personal. I just learned that, for myself, anyway, it might have been better not to get too excited for that first time.
Very cute idea!
HAHAHA-the fact that you propped that condom in a lil' frame is killing me! You are too cute, lol!
I love this idea!
I understand what a previous poster commented, the key is to both know it might not be perfect, but the key is to just laugh and take it slow. And, hey, if you can't succeed the first time, no worries, you'll just try again, right? That's the fun!
what a great idea - any husband would be pleased as pie to get this!
haha--I appreciate all your comments! Thanks Denise and Cody--I think that is important for people to hear...(and it's not being a "downer" it's being realistic! Sometimes you think everything is going to be just great and when it's not..you are disappointed and frustrated. Knowing ahead of time can save all that unneeded fuss! Thanks for sharing!
HaHa, too funny! Cute idea!
I LOVE this idea!!! I'm all for keeping things fresh and real and interesting in the bedroom and I think sometimes women in particular forget that men are VERY sexual creatures and we need to help feed that with little things like this! That's one of the reasons I'm in love with Pure Romance because it helps to bring in the romance and foreplay that women need and the S.E.X. that men desire ;)
My husband would've loved that! Too bad I think we're done having kids...
Love that idea!! :)
cute cute idea.... and totally something you could use even if you are done having kids.
My sweetie goes out of town one night a week, this would be something fun and cute to stow away in his overnight bag, or have for him when he returns the next evening.
Wish I'd had this idea BEFORE I was done having kids! I'm still going to use it though!
that is awesome my husband would have loved this!
I just love your blog, it is awesome and people need to here it!
yes..girls, I have to agree with Ginny. who cares if you're done having kids....sure it's the clever reason behind it that makes it fun, but there really doesn't have to be a reason. your hubby will love this no matter WHAT the reasoning behind it. :)
Totally Appropriate!!!Some women tend to feel "Not Sexy" after baby comes, so this helps a lot in that department. To get back on the horse (figuratively speaking of course.lol) Please post more cute ideas like this that relate to this in the future! I think all would be on-board :) Thanks for posting!
