Pizzeria Date Night

Has anyone seen "No Reservations" with Catherine Zeta Jones? I love that movie...I especially like how it makes running a little restaurant with your love seem so romantic! This was my inspiration for today's idea.

~~~
On your next date night, open a pizzeria together at your place! You'll be the chefs, creating your own pizza masterpieces. This can be done while the kids eat mac&cheese in front of a movie. You have to eat dinner, too... might as well make a date of it!
Here's what you'll need:
  • Pizza kits (pre-made dough and ingredients)
  • Pizzeria Style drinks (Coke...or whatever.)
  • Chef's Hats & Aprons (optional, but fun!)
  • Red and white checkered tablecloth
  • Paper plates/napkins
  • A sign on your wall or table identifying it as your pizzera
  • Mints (I don't think I've ever left a pizzeria without being offered a mint)
  • My free downloadable and printable invitation
And, just for fun...I thought I'd throw in pictures of our date..
    Oh, and don't worry if things get a little saucy...
    Buon appetito!
    This is probably my favorite date night idea yet. My husband and I absolutely LOVE homemade pizza. This would make it that much better.
    I really need my husband to come home, like NOW, so I can start implementing all your fun ideas you've had the past couple of months.
    Yes, Courtney. Don't you wish you could just call up the military and demand they send him home?! (hehe...)
    You know, Cher, I really do. haha. Though we're not too far from his home coming now... we're on the home-stretch; just a few short weeks (hopefully)...
    Cher, good job on another easy to plan fun date! I would love to do this one of those date nights that we had a sitter, but very little money to spend!
    I did this for Jake (my Hubster) this weekend, gave him an invite to the 'grand opening' while he was at work, hunted high & low for the tablecloth, grabbed a few traditional shakers (parm & red pepper flakes), made an 'House Specials' menu, had a sign on the front door with balloons that read 'grand opening' and boy was it fun for me and he appreciated the effort I went to. It added oodles of fun to our traditional Sunday night pizza and a movie-thanks for the idea!!
